Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what information Tools4Edit collects when you use our free online image, audio, video and PDF tools at tools4edit.com, what we do with it, and what we do not do with it.

The short version: you never create an account, we never ask for your name or email to use a tool, and the files you upload are deleted automatically within one hour.

Files You Upload

To edit a file, you upload it to our servers. Server-side processing is what makes it possible to run real video, audio and PDF operations from a browser. Here is exactly what happens to that file.

  • Files are deleted automatically within one hour. A scheduled cleanup task removes every uploaded and processed file older than 60 minutes. It runs on a timer, whether anyone is watching or not.
  • Your files are never sent to any third party. All processing, including the AI features, runs on our own servers. Speech-to-text, text-to-speech and translation use models installed locally — your files are not passed to an external AI service, cloud provider or API.
  • We do not view, analyse, sell or share the contents of your files, and we keep no copies once the cleanup has run.
  • Your files are not used to train anything. We do not build models from user uploads.
  • Uploads and downloads travel over HTTPS, so they are encrypted in transit.

One practical consequence of the short retention: your download link expires with the file. After an hour it stops working, and you would need to run the tool again.

Information We Collect

Server Logs

Like all websites, our web server automatically records basic technical information when you visit (such as your IP address and browser type). This is standard for how the internet works and is used only for:

  • Keeping the website running properly
  • Debugging technical issues
  • Protecting against abuse

We do not use this information to identify or track individual users.
