Supported Formats
You can upload JPG/JPEG, PNG, WebP, BMP, TIFF, or GIF (max 7 MB), and your rotated image is saved in the same format. Note: for custom (non-90°) angles the canvas is enlarged to fit the whole rotated image, so new corners appear — transparent on PNG/WebP, or white on JPG. Tick Auto-crop to remove them automatically, or trim them yourself with our Crop Image tool.
Frequently Asked Questions
Click a 90° button twice for 180° or three times for 270°, or simply type 180 or 270 in the angle box.
Rotating by 90°, 180°, or 270° is lossless — the pixels are simply rearranged. Custom angles use high-quality bicubic resampling and enlarge the canvas to fit, which can introduce only slight softening at the edges.
A 90° or 270° rotation swaps the width and height. A custom angle enlarges the canvas so the entire rotated image fits, adding corner areas (transparent on PNG/WebP, white on JPG) — unless you enable Auto-crop.
Tick the Auto-crop empty corners box before downloading and the tool trims the rotated image to the largest rectangle with no empty corners. You can also crop manually afterward with our Crop Image tool.
No. Your rotated image is saved in the same format you uploaded. To change the format, use our Convert Image tool.
